Innovative International ship repair Company wins German Order for Ballast Tank Surface Preparation and Coating
Mr. Selim Bagatur, of Bluemar Shipping Istanbul, a partner to the project, contacted Aqua Energy to ask if we could supply 2,758 bar (40,000 psi) Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting machines in 2 to 3 weeks. Our engineers worked day and night and the 1 st machine was delivered to the Port of Barcelona and loaded aboard the Vessel M/V Paiute.
The vessel, a 70,000 tdw Panamax bulk carrier built in1995, owned by Harren & Partner Germany, required renewal of the full paint system in all wing tanks. The Contractors High Seas Offshore Repairs LTD completed the surface preparation and coating to the full satisfaction of the Owners leading to more work for both High Seas and Aqua Energy. Interestingly the project was carried out while the vessel was on the way without causing any delay to the Owners.
